We are currently working with a leading food manufacturing company based in the Western Cape that is seeking a Logistics Manager to join their team.:As the Logistics Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the logistics operations of the company. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure seamless delivery of goods
• Overseeing the transportation of goods from one location to another
• Managing budgets and allocating resources for transport and logistics
• Researching and implementing efficient shipping techniques, routing, and carriers
• Ensuring compliance with local and international transportation laws and regulations
• Manage day-to-day logistics activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.
• Direct the movement, storage, and processing of inventory to ensure a cost-effective flow of activities
• Examine existing procedures or opportunities for streamlining activities to meet customer needs

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Transport, Supply Chain, Operations, or relevant field
• Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager, preferably in the food manufacturing industry
• In-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
