Job Summary Key Duties & Responsibilities: xe2x80xa2Oversee inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock is available for delivery while minimising excess inventory. xe2x80xa2Develop and implement training programs for drivers and logistics staff to enhance skills and ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations. xe2x80xa2Identify potential risks in the logistics process and develop strategies to mitigate them. xe2x80xa2Monitor and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining delivery accuracy and timeliness. xe2x80xa2Develop and execute contingency plans to handle logistics disruptions due to unforeseen circumstances, such as natural disasters or supply chain interruptions. xe2x80xa2Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations and regularly review performance against these metrics. xe2x80xa2Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international regulations, including transportation and environmental laws. xe2x80xa2Efficiently allocate resources, such as vehicles and personnel, to meet operational demands. xe2x80xa2Work closely with other departments, such as sales, procurement, and production, to ensure seamless integration of logistics activities. xe2x80xa2Conduct regular performance reviews of logistics staff, providing feedback and guidance for improvement. xe2x80xa2Manage the process for handling customer returns and reverse logistics. xe2x80xa2Provide regular fleet reports. xe2x80xa2Monitor truck trackers and report non-conformances. xe2x80xa2Monitor and control transportation costs, including fuel consumption, maintenance expenses, and vehicle repairs, to optimise budget allocation. xe2x80xa2Oversee maintenance schedules for vehicles and forklifts, coordinating repairs and inspections to minimize downtime. Ensure daily check sheets are signed off and filed. Qualifications & Experience required: xe2x80xa2Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. xe2x80xa2Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or in a similar role, typically 5+ years. xe2x80xa2Familiarity with warehouse management and inventory control practices. xe2x80xa2Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles. xe2x80xa2Proficiency in route planning, fleet management, and vehicle maintenance. xe2x80xa2Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.AtripleA recruitment & tempsRecruiter
