Job Description
My client is looking for an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee their transport and delivery operations within the petroleum industry. They will coordinate and manage the entire logistics process, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of petroleum products across South Africa. They will manage drivers, optimize routes, provide transport reports, and ensure all trucks run smoothly.Fleet size: 12 Trucks (and growing)KEY ROLES * Vehicle Acquisition & Maintenance
- Route Scheduling and optimization
- Managing Drivers & Vehicles
- Manage Operational Costs
- Liaising and communicating with Clients
- Proven experience as a Logistics/Transport Manager within the fuel industry.
- Must have (truck & trailer) mechanical knowledge and knowledge of safety processes/requirements to load petroleum products.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software - Webfleet and Excel.
