The ideal candidate will manage the efficient movement of goods, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, inventory management, and effective cross-functional collaboration. Qualification RequirementsBachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related fieldKnowledge & ExperienceMinimum of 3 years experience in a Manufacturing environment essential. Exposure to Metal Engineering Industry advantageousMinimum of 5 years experience in Warehouse/Distribution Management essential.Experience in inventory management and optimization.Experience in transport management and cost optimization.Computer literacy - Microsoft Office, Syspro software.CompetenciesProven experience as a Logistics Manager with a focus on inbound/outbound logistics, demand planning, procurement coordination, and S&OP.Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff. Embracing change and seeking continuous improvement.Key responsibilitiesManage and optimize inbound and outbound logistics operations. Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.Oversee inventory management, including stock levels, replenishment, and accuracy.Plan and manage warehouse and stores processes,Address and resolve customer service issues or complaints promptly and effectively.Supervise, coach, and train staff.Achieve cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness targets. - Analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements in logistics and inventory management.Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.Demand Planning: Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to develop demand forecasts.Analyze historical sales data and market trends to predict future demand.Adjust inventory levels and procurement strategies based on demand forecasts.Ensure alignment between demand planning and logistics operations to optimize inventory turnover and reduce costs.Monitor and adjust plans as necessary to meet changing market conditions and customer requirements.Sourcing and Procurement Coordination: Work closely with the procurement team to align sourcing strategies with demand forecasts.Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and products.Coordinate the timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.Collaborate with the procurement team to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Lead the S&OP process to ensure alignment between sales forecasts, production plans, and logistics operations.Facilitate cross-functional meetings to review and align sales, production, and inventory plans.Develop and maintain S&OP metrics and dashboards to track performance and identify areas for improvement.Ensure that S&OP plans are communicated and executed across the organization. Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation plans.Inbound Logistics: Manage the receipt, storage, and distribution of incoming goods. - Ensure timely and accurate recording of inventory. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of materials (including global purchased items).Outbound Logistics: Plan and manage the distribution of goods to customers. Ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure efficient delivery.Maintain and manage transport development and recovery.
