Are you an experienced Logistics Manager looking to make a significant impact?Job & Company Description:My client, a leading powerhouse in the manufacturing and logistics industry, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Logistics Manager to join their team in Midrand.As logistics Manager you will be responsible for:

• Manage the entire logistics process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring the safe handling of sensitive products.
• Oversee the storage and distribution operations to maintain product integrity and compliance with industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure optimal stock levels.
• Implement and monitor inventory control procedures to prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Implement and oversee safety protocols to protect products from contamination and damage.
• Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
• Conduct performance reviews and foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and implement effective solutions.
• Utilize technology and innovative practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, including metrics on delivery times, costs, and inventory levels.
• Analyse data to identify trends and make informed decisions to optimize logistics operations.

What do you need:

• Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably 3 years in a managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of logistics software and tools.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
