Logistics Planner Sc Ops
Job Description
My client is based in west-north Johannesburg and they are looking for a Logistics Planner to join their SC operations team. Key function would be to use stock levels, the demand, production and material plans to plan the movement of raw materials and finished products between the production sites and sales branches. South African citizens only.Requirements for this role are relevant Operations Certificate or Diploma with broad supply chain knowledge. ERP /Excel intermediate skills required and previous experience in a Food manufacturing industry/food safety area is advantageous. A high level of analytical skills is essential for this roleKey responsibilities
- Stock level optimization
- Replenishment planning
- Safety stock management
- Supplier management
- Arrange for shipping and transportation (considering cost, speed and reliability)
- Import and Export compliance and admin
- Cross functional collaboration
- Risk management
- Order fulfillment
- Customer communication
- Resolving of any issues that arise
- Reporting on inventory levels, shipping schedules and savings and cost reduction
