This initiative aims to improve the teaching practices and outcomes of Foundation Phase teachers and learners, addressing literacy in Setswana Home Language and English, as a First Additional Language.Logistics & Project Support Administrator(Fixed Term Contract - 7 Months)Oxford University Press is recruiting a dynamic Logistics & Project Support Administrator that will play a pivotal role in assisting the Programme Manager and Professional & Content Development Manager with the Early Grade Reading Intervention Project. The incumbent will ensure smooth operations through effective planning and co-ordination of project activities & training, document management, data capturing and archiving, and couriering as well as providing ad hoc administrative support. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational skills and a passion for logistics and project management in a support-capacity.The Logistics & Project Support Administrator will be reporting to the Provincial Implementation Manager. This post is based in Cape Town.Principal Accountabilities:

  • Executing logistics for termly Reference Groups as well as Coach Training
  • Coordinating travel arrangements and itineraries
  • Supporting the team daily with a wide variety of administrative tasks as needed
  • Ensuring that project supplies (stationery and training materials) are ordered as necessary
  • Compiling agenda and minutes of various meetings
  • Requesting project related purchase orders to be raised
  • Follow-up on Invoice submissions and the processing of freelancer payments
Qualifications and Experience
  • A relevant degree or equivalent in Education or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in an administrative role in an education-related context. Experience in school educational publishing, specifically working with school/campaign related data advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English
  • Drivers license [Code B]
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Teams)
  • A demonstratable track record of expert organisational skills, and managing various tasks against tight deadlines
