IntroductionGrain Field Chickens, a subsidiary of VKB Agriculture (PTY)Ltd, is a dynamic role player in the integrated broiler industry with an abattoir in Reitz in the North Eastern Free State. We offer you the opportunity to establish yourself within a professional, corporate environment in the countryside.Responsible for operating the fillet line in accordance with standard operating procedures.Job requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
- N2 Mechanical Engineering.
- 1 to 2 Years proven experience as a machine operator within the FMCG environment.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery.
- A willingness to work overtime, shifts and weekends when required.
- Set up fillets (calibration, cleaning etc) to start production cycle.
- Control and adjust fillets line settings (e.g. speed).
- Visual inspection of machines daily.
- Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
- Perform other duties as may be required by line manager.
- Understanding of production procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to read manuals.
- Good communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Team player.
- Able to work under pressure.
