Job Description
An Inline Punch Lipped Channel Machine Operator is responsible for operating specialized machinery that punches and forms metal channels with lipped edges, commonly used in construction and manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor inline punch lipped channel machines to produce components according to specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production data, including quantities produced and any issues encountered.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machine operation is advantageous.
- Experience: Previous experience operating punch press or similar machinery is preferred.
- Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings; strong attention to detail; good problem-solving skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable standing for extended periods; manual dexterity.
- Location: Based at a client facility in Jet Park, Boksburg, South Africa.
- Schedule: Full-time position with potential for overtime.
