Responsible for setting up machines on production lines and ensuring that the machines achieve the required output speeds with minimal waste.Qualifications/Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a machine operator
• Experience with Triumph machines is advantageous
• Knowledge of bag-making processes, packing, and flexographic printing processes is advantageous

• Set up machines and maintain machine setup standards within the business
• Perform changeovers between product lines
• Conduct operator maintenance on machines
• Plan efficient workflows to meet production targets and deadlines
• Diagnose and resolve faults
• Monitor quality
• Optimize the utilization of resources to ensure minimal waste, maximum productivity, and work efficiency
• Adhere to all Health and Safety legislative requirements and meet required standards
• Conduct routine daily analyses
• Manage and establish all standards for product evaluation
• Facilitate training for machine operators to meet required standards

• Good planning and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Proficient in computer literacy (MS Office)
• Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure
• Self-driven and self-motivated with a passion for paper bag manufacturing or other packaging production environments
