To execute low risk scheduled maintenance, unscheduled and ad hoc maintenance relating to the job card assigned
To carry out timeous and quality planned, preventive and emergency maintenance on all specified equipment
Location:
Isle of Houghton Office Park, Houghton Estate - Johannesburg
Key performance areas:
General painting and maintenance
Prepare surfaces for painting and repairing cracks/holes
Mixing and applying paints
Cleaning and preparing surfaces
General building maintenance (e.g. painting and minor maintenance)
General plumbing maintenance (e.g. leaking taps, blockages)
Weekly checking and cleaning of gutters.
Meet with service providers/contractor on site if Facilities manager is not available
Health and Safety
Reporting non programmed maintenance to the Facilities Manager
Report anything in need of ordering or replacement to Facilities Manager
Required minimum education and training:
Grade 12
Required minimum work experience:
Minimum 2-years' experience in handyman maintenance tasks and building maintenance
Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities:
Knowledge on the use of portable electric power tools & equipment needed to carry out maintenance & repairs
Professional, organized and able to work quickly
A strong work ethic and a positive approach task
Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Punctual and good time keeping
Able to follow schedules and work to instructions
Capable of carrying out physical activities i.e. lift and push equipment and furniture, bend, stoop and kneel
Take precautionary measures and wear protective gloves as required.
Work with cleaning chemicals
A pleasant disposition in maintain effective working relationships with all staff and managers
Project a positive image of the organisation when dealing with external stakeholders
Knowledge of OHS Act
