Job Description
Qualification
- Relevant trade in Mechanical/ Electrical fields (Red Seal)
- Minimum: 3 years relevant experience
- The role requires working in three shifts and possibly doing overtime to meet production needs or address equipment failures.
- Installation and Inspection:
- Install and inspect electrical and mechanical equipment using various tools.
- Ensure safety devices operate correctly after maintenance.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance ensuring all equipment meets the required standards.
- Use machine tools to create parts needed for machine overhauls and setups.
- Maintain accurate and detailed reports on maintenance activities.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for machinery.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery weekly.
- Ensure and maintain adherence to checklist schedules.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere strictly to safety policies, regulations, and compliances.
- Proactively report major faults to the operations manager for timely repair.
- General Duties:
- Perform other related duties as assigned, which could vary based on specific needs and situations.
