Lichtenburg Area - North West: Our client is looking for a Maintenance Farm Foreman to join the team.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 or equivalent.
Diesel Mechanic Trade Certificate (preference will be given to candidate with a boiler-making & electrical experience).
Valid drivers license (truck driving license will be an added advantage).
At least 5 years of working experience, working independently, executing farm equipment maintenance and repairs in agricultural business.
Having worked on an arable farm, and understanding basics of crop production
Experience in maintaining irrigation systems.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Ensure that maintenance & repairs farm equipment is done correct and in a timely manner. Drive a safety culture within the workshop to prevent safety incidents and achieve 0 Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) through the Safety Interactions and Good Catches.
Keep farmyard, and workshop in a clean state.
Complete farm irrigation system maintenance and repairs on time and avoid repeat failures. Supervise staff and field operations in absence of the farm manager.
Ensure equipment is maintained in a safe order by putting guards and covers in place
