Job SummaryA leading agro-processing and sugar milling company in KwaZulu-Natal is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Foreman to oversee mechanical maintenance in the front-end processing section of its large-scale production facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive maintenance excellence, plant reliability, and team leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• National Trade Test or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years' experience in maintenance planning within a large-scale production facility
• Extensive experience in planned maintenance systems (Maximo experience advantageous)
• Strong leadership & problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a systematic and structured manner in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of sugar milling operations would be an advantage

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure high levels of plant availability and equipment capacity.
• Preventative & Reactive Maintenance: Implement planned maintenance strategies to reduce downtime and costs.
• Technical Excellence: Oversee mechanical systems, ensuring optimal efficiency, compliance, and safety.
• Budget & Cost Control: Develop and manage maintenance budgets and resource allocation effectively.
• Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to SHERQ, Food Safety, and engineering standards.
• Training & Development: Identify skills gaps within the team and oversee training programs
