Job Summary Purpose of the position
The main purpose of this position is to oversee the maintenance, availability and overall condition of all moving machinery in the Company.The Maintenance Manager has the main responsibility to oversee the effective equipment, monitor and coordinate all workshop operations, as well as supervise the work activities of all employees under his / her supervision.
The position is further designed to oversee all maintenance projects by planning and coordinating employees and equipment, while addressing any maintenance and safety needs.Experience
The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years experience in a maintenance related role within the food industry.Formal qualifications

  • Matric Certificate or equivalent
  • Diploma in mechanical engineering
  • Experience working with electrical equipment will be an added advantage
  • Valid driving license code 08
  • Own transport
  • A valid medical certificate certifying the incumbents fitness status to work
Technical Key Performance Areas
  • Provide direction, development and leadership to all employees under your supervision to achieve targets
  • Distribute work to the production personnel based on the workload and their competencies
  • Evaluate and plan maintenance to ensure that the equipment is running optimally
  • Plan and align maintenance schedules to production and allocated resources accordingly
  • Look after the equipment and ensure that it is kept on acceptable standard
  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees
  • Ensure that all employees understand and comply with the Health and Safety Regulations.
