Job Description
Stellenbosch: My client, a prestigious luxury guest lodge and exclusive venue, nestled in the breathtaking Western Cape Winelands near Stellenbosch, is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Oversee and coordinate maintenance and gardening teams
- Ensure all hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas are well-maintained
- Supervise daily maintenance activities, assign tasks, and manage schedules
- Provide on-the-job supervision, training, and technical guidance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Maintain preventative maintenance schedules and accurate records.
- Ensure minimal disruption to guests by managing tasks effectively
- Evaluate and update administrative systems for inventory and work orders
- Lead and motivate the team with a hands-on approach
- Maintain high standards of communication and attention to detail
- Matric
- Experience in estate/hotel property maintenance preventative and reactive
- Technical qualification advantageous
- Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems, ensuring all aspects of the propertys infrastructure are well-maintained.
- Ability to plan, budget, and execute maintenance projects, renovations, and upgrades while coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
- Health, Safety & Compliance: Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations
- Valid drivers license with own transport
