RESPONSIBILITIES

Reduce downtime and breakdowns so as to ensure maximum productivity and plant availability
Draft and manage scheduled maintenance programs
Supervise maintenance team
Coordinate regular inspections to identify possible problem areas and address accordingly
Maintain inventory levels of parts, tools and equipment
Oversee contractors and external maintenance service providers to ensure compliance with quality standards
Continuous improvement
Budget development and management
Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to ensure efficient execution of projects
Create a safe working environment and mitigate any hazardous circumstances, ensuring compliance to OHS Act
Maintain accurate records and data utilizing Pragma Management System

REQUIREMENTS

Matric and related Engineering qualification/ trade
8+ years experience as Maintenance Manager in heavy engineering environment
Computer proficient including knowledge of Pragma Management System
Knowledge and experience in both mechanical ad electrical systems in manufacturing environment
Ability to lead a team
