Maintenance Manager

Job Description
Oversee and coordinate maintenance in large manufacturing plant in heavy engineering environment ensuring efficient functioning and maintenance of equipment and machinery.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reduce downtime and breakdowns so as to ensure maximum productivity and plant availability
- Draft and manage scheduled maintenance programs
- Supervise maintenance team
- Coordinate regular inspections to identify possible problem areas and address accordingly
- Maintain inventory levels of parts, tools and equipment
- Oversee contractors and external maintenance service providers to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Continuous improvement
- Budget development and management
- Collaborate with other departments and suppliers to ensure efficient execution of projects
- Create a safe working environment and mitigate any hazardous circumstances, ensuring compliance to OHS Act
- Maintain accurate records and data utilizing Pragma Management System
- Matric and related Engineering qualification/ trade
- 8+ years experience as Maintenance Manager in heavy engineering environment
- Computer proficient including knowledge of Pragma Management System
- Knowledge and experience in both mechanical ad electrical systems in manufacturing environment
- Ability to lead a team
