Job Description


A Dynamic mining company based in the Northern Cape has an exciting opportunity for a Planner Engineering. The successful candidate will execute asset care work management activities and processes, providing logistic support to the maintenance management of plant / mine, mechanical, electrical and mobile equipment to ensure optimal availability and reliability, in order to achieve production targets through effective implementation of the maintenance management system.Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and inspect subordinates daily activities, offer coaching and on the job training to ensure maintenance according to organisational standards.
Manage team performance. Resolve conflict. * Implement team operational plans to ensure defined objectives are met through supporting and being supported by, other teams within and linked to department.
  • Comply with safety, health and environmental standards.
  • Identify and report unsafe and hazardous situations in work area.
  • Take care of your own safety and the safety of fellow employees.
  • Coordinate maintenance as well as statutory inspections and audits by internal and external service providers.
  • Ensure the execution of scheduled and non-scheduled mechanical repairs, inspections and installation work as required.
  • Provide opportunity to give feedback on optimisation opportunities.
  • Control resources within span to minimise waste.
  • Maintain active and informative relations with all team members and colleagues, take remedial actions where necessary.
  • Manage team performance. Resolve conflict. Comply with disciplinary and behavioural rules and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Engineering Artisan Trade Test (Red seal)
  • National N3 Engineering Certificate
  • Programme in Maintenance Management Certificate
  • Supervisory Certificate
  • Programme in Project Management
  • 5 - 8 years operational artisan experience
  • 2 - 5 years operational enterprise asset management system experience.
  • 1 - 3 year supervisory experience
