PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To safely, cost-effectively and accurately identify, plan & schedule maintenance and shutdown work and maintain Master Data on the CMMS. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY
Comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status us
CUSTOMERS
Regularly check success of the PM schedule in the field
Incorporate suggestions from artisans, supervisors and production personnel to continuously improve the schedule in terms of safety, duration and cost
Coach Users on PM Functions
BUSINESS PROCESSES Maintenance Support:
Link new materials to Bills of Materials and update Bills of Materials on SAP
Load New Task Lists and update existing Task Lists on GSAP
Capture, update and maintain maintenance plans on GSAP
Schedule Preparation:
Decide whether to use internal or contractor artisans
Create Work Orders and allocate the Task Lists
Create Purchase Requisitions for non-stock items and allocate Components
Release Purchase Requisitions / Work Order Permits
Release Planned Work Orders
Check material and follow up on material availability (arrange expediting if necessary)
Report discrepancies for scheduled materials on a weekly basis
Release Planned Work and monitor the Forward Workload
Estimate work order costs
Allocate Resources, arrange weekly planning meetings and create the Schedule
Estimate cost of scheduled work for the week
Communicate and issue the schedule
Print Work Orders as required
Work Analysis:
Investigate W/O exceptions
Produce various routine and special reports as required
Contractor Management:
Optimise resource levelling through the use of internal or contractor artisans for planned work
Create Service Entry Sheets for planned work
Verify contractor attendance the week before the job is scheduled to start
SHAREHOLDER VALUE Budgeting:
Prepare cost forecast for each schedule
Forecast material required for each schedule
Compare actual cost of schedule to planned cost
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:
Trade Certificate or Planning Diploma
N3 or Grade 12 Certificate
N4 Studying towards N5 (Internal)
Maintenance SAP
5 years relevant experience in a Planning Office environment, preferably 2 years supervisory experience. 1 March 2024
