• Direct and supervise the maintenance personnel ensuring adherence to safety standards and procedures
• Coordinate and schedule routine inspections and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Analyse breakdowns and failures to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Maintain Maintenance Connection works orders and Preventive Maintenance Schedules.
• Create site reports and update Maintenance Connection of any Equipment change on site.
• Maintain and repair all building structures.
• Maintain Forklift Fleet onsite.
• Maintain plant rigging equipment.
• Assist Maintenance Engineer with ensuring Pressure Equipment and Process Safety Devices are maintained and compliant as per OHSACT - PER.
• Control maintenance and project budgets and recommend suitable suppliers.
• Maintain plant above ground storage tanks and ensure compliance.
• Participate on site risk assessments.
• Assist in incident investigations.
• Supervise service providers and contractors carrying out work on the plant
• Provide training and support to maintenance personnel
• Ensure that all safety standards are maintained

Qualifications & Experience

• Matric
• Qualified Artisan (Trade Test/ Red Seal Millwright)
• 5 years of experience in Supervision with at least 2 years in a chemical/petrochemical environment.
• Wiremens license
• Practical and administration knowledge relating to statutory requirements (OHASA etc.) and relevant SABS codesStrong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Must be able to perform standby duties
