This role involves ensuring the pristine condition of gardens and the general upkeep of the lodgexe2x80x99s facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintenance within a lodge environment and a strong commitment to upholding high standards. As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining the lodge's gardens and facilities, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for performing regular maintenance tasks, managing equipment, and addressing any issues promptly. Your work will help maintain the lodge's reputation for excellence and contribute to its award-winning status.Description

• Perform scheduled maintenance duties and ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.
• Maintain gardens, ensuring they are in pristine condition.
• Regularly check and maintain equipment, pumps, boreholes, and vehicles.
• Oversee the upkeep of swimming and plunge pools, including monitoring water supply levels.
• Conduct proactive maintenance on gardens, lawns, irrigation systems, grounds, septic tanks, and boreholes.
• Maintain and repair guest areas and staff villages as needed.
• Assist with sustainability and recycling initiatives at the lodge.
• Remove rubbish from various points and ensure it is collected centrally.

Minimum RequirementsSoft Skills:

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven track record of achieving results and meeting goals.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
• High emotional intelligence and ability to work well within a team.
• Solutions-oriented and proactive approach to tasks.

Technical Skills:

• Valid driverxe2x80x99s license with PDP.
• Experience with electrical tools, air conditioners, basic plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Preferred: Electrician or plumbing certificate.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a lodge environment in a maintenance role.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience with air conditioning, basic plumbing, and overall maintenance tasks.

Position Details:

• Contract Type: Permanent
• Work Cycle: 3 days on, 1 day off
• Provided: Accommodation and uniform
• Remuneration: Competitive salary plus 7.5% provident fund contribution. Onsite accommodation provided.
