Overview:
Our company in Pretoria is looking for a proactive and dependable Maintenance Technician to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role, perfect for someone with hands-on skills in building maintenance and repair, a can-do attitude, and a strong ability to work independently while supporting overall operations. Related experience in a similar role will be advantageous, though we are equally keen to meet candidates with the right mindset and work ethic.Key Responsibilities:

• Building Maintenance: You will be responsible for general maintenance and upkeep of the companys buildings, ensuring they remain functional, safe, and in good repair. This includes addressing repairs as needed, performing routine inspections, and identifying areas that need attention.
• Purchasing and Supplier Relations: Sourcing materials and tools necessary for maintenance tasks, you will need to secure quotations, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and manage purchases in alignment with company budgets.
• Logistics: The role includes managing deliveries and collections. You will be responsible for picking up and delivering items to various locations as required by the management team.
• Miscellaneous Tasks: As a versatile support for the supervisor and management, you will handle a range of ad-hoc tasks that may arise in the day-to-day operations. These could include anything from setting up equipment to assisting with administrative tasks related to maintenance.

• Personality Traits: A strong and assertive personality with the ability to negotiate and work independently, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
• Licenses & Transportation: A valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation is essential to the role, given the need for mobility between locations for collections and deliveries.
• Background Check: A clear criminal and credit record is mandatory, as verifications will be conducted before employment.

• Experience: Previous work experience in a similar maintenance role will be considered an advantage. Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, or HVAC systems will be beneficial.
• Driver's License: A valid drivers license is crucial, as travel to various locations for collections and deliveries is a regular aspect of the job.
