Job Description


Title: Management AccountantReports to: Financial ExecutiveLocation: Durbanville, Western CapeOur client, a leading company in the FMCG sector in Durbanville, is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team.Purpose of the Role:To support the Financial Executive in the role of financial analytics and reporting on the Companyxe2x80x99s financial performance and forecasting assumptions. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide financial analysis and decision support to the Finance Department and the Management team.Key Performance Indicators for this role (but not limited to):

  • Be responsible for conducting financial analysis and modelling and preparing financial reports.
  • Develop financial forecasts and tracking and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIxe2x80x99s).
  • Analyse and interpret financial data, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Stay updated with relevant financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Managing Working Capital and risk identification and mitigation.
Job Summary
  • Conduct financial analysis for business operations, including margins, cost of goods sold (COGS) and profitability.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly and quarterly statements, financial forecast, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and track KPIxe2x80x99s, including financial ratioxe2x80x99s, production metrics, and inventory levels and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Develop financial forecast, including cash flow projections, income statements and balance sheets, and provide insights to the management team to support strategic decision making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and procurement, to gather and analyse financial data and provide insights into business performance.
  • Proactively interact with various departments throughout the organization to provide information necessary to assist in their decision-making processes, improve profitability and maintain proper accounting procedures.
  • Monitor and track financial performance against budgets and targets, identifying areas of improvement and recommending corrective actions.
  • Provide financial decision support for capital investments, including analysing project feasibility, developing finance models, and preparing investment proposals.
  • Participation in the annual budgeting process, including developing budget templates, gathering financial data and preparing budget reports.
  • Maintain financial models and databases to ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and projects as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A relevant Tertiary qualification in Finance (CIMA)
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in a similar role.
  • Computer literate and experience with ERP Systems
  • Knowledge of Syspro will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of BI software
Area: DurbanvilleSalary: R50k - R70k CTC p.m. (depending on experience)Starting date: ASAP
