Our client in the golfing industry is seeking an experienced accountant to lead and manage all aspects of the Clubxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s Financials in Mowbray, Cape Town.POSITION INFO:

• Bachelorxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s degree in Accounting,

, or related field * 5 years proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Clubmaster (Advantageous)
• Other accounting Software
• Attention to detail
• Strong understanding of accounting processes and procedures
• Adherence to ethical standards and integrity in financial practices

DUTIES:
Bank Management:

• Process the bank statement into the accounting system daily
• Reconcile the Bank GL account
• Process payments on a weekly basis

Accounts Receivable:

• Capture receipts, verify supporting documents for validity & accuracy
• Process debtor invoices where required
• Manage financial admin for membership accounts
• Manage & reconcile member spending accounts

Accounts Payable:

• Manage the weekly creditors payment list
• Prepare all creditor payment batches in the accounting system
• Ensure all invoices processed are valid & accurate

Month-end and Year-end closure:

• Ensure all month end journal entries are posted
• Prepayments, accruals, provisions
• Reconcile all Balance Sheet general ledger accounts
• SARS VAT201 preparation and submission, as well as reconciling VAT on all sales items (incl. sales credits)
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register & monitor Capital Expenditure

Annual audit preparation:

• Compile & prepare the relevant supporting documents & files as requested by the Auditors.
• Assist the auditors during the audit with any queries.

Human Resources/ Compliance/ Legislation:

• IT14SD preparation and Workings (VAT & payroll Taxes)
• Full payroll function, UI-19 submissions, EMP201, Annual and bi-annual EMP501 reconciliations, IRP5xc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s and Workmanxc3xa2xc2x80xc2x99s Compensation Annual Returns

HOURS:

• 8 xc3xa2xc2x80xc2x93 5 Monday to Friday
