Manage and support professional development of a team of structural Engineers
Liaison with designers to ensure design are efficient and safe to build
Approval of detailed construction methodologies produced by the project teams
Approval of inspection and test plans produced by the project teams
Review and approval of structural calculations and reports
Review submissions for quality and sufficiency
Carry out progress reporting, including the identification of relevant issues, risks and opportunities; this includes input to the project
integrated plan * Provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas and implement agreed recovery plans
Promote communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow and to curb any problems that may arise.
Prepare and submit reports to the Senior Manager, Engineering Projects on all matters pertaining to the units work activities.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Engineering Projects

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONEducation
Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related discipline
Professional project management certifications such as PMP and PRINCE2 would be advantageous
Experience
8+ years of experience in the telecommunications industry
Extensive project management experience
Experience managing teams of engineers
