In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.Guided by our purpose and our values, we enable both high performance and purposeful action as we aim to xe2x80x9cre-imagine mining to improve peoplexe2x80x99s lives", delivering the metals and minerals that make modern life possible. -As Manager Commissioning you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:Compile inputs and develop Commissioning Strategy and Management Plans to ensure a structured approach to commissioning, including Cold and Hot Commissioning phases.Develop and approve procedures for all packages to ensure readiness for Cold and Hot Commissioning activities.Detail activities into commissionable systems and subsystems to ensure thorough planning for all commissioning phases.Develop Inspection Reports and Functional Test Forms to support pre-commissioning and commissioning activities and ensure readiness for operational phases.Oversee all commissioning matters and ensure both Cold and Hot Commissioning are managed effectively.Coordinate vendor oversight for critical equipment support readiness for all commissioning phases.Define requirements to ensure all systems are documented and ready for commissioning.Compile comprehensive packs for readiness assessment and compliance across all commissioning phases.Coordinate and integrate workstreams and deliverables related to commissioning across engineering, procurement, construction.Ensure quality management of project processes and deliverables.Execute and optimise project work plans.Review and approve contractor and vendor packages and schedules.This role is in Projects & Development (P&D) at a Band 5 level reporting to the Project Director: Project KoketsoQualifications-Grade 12NQF8 Metallurgical Engineering degree (preferably)/Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degreeProject Management qualification or Project Management Professional (PMP) CertificationSA Drivers LicenceExperience8 to 10 years experience on mega projects within mining sector.Proven experience in successfully delivering and handing over a mega project within the mining environment as part of the operational readiness management team.In-depth knowledge of hot and cold commissioning processes and operational readiness procedures for complex systems.Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process engineering principles.Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.Familiarity with Ultra High Dense Media Separation (UHDMS) technology and its application.Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.Understanding of quality control and assurance practices.Awareness of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
