Job Description

Responsibilities:



Financial management and administration:


Achieve financial targets (Turnover, Gross Profit %, Net Profit %). Perform reconciliations of OTC and TBR internal accounts. Analyse and monitor sales and commissions. Manage costs and expenditure. Process trade-ins/buy-outs. Conduct financial forecasting. Continuously update pricelists for circulation. Draft quotations for clients. Assist with invoicing to financial institutions once approved or paid cash. Manage inventory across all relevant outlets. Process daily direct transfer receipts. Ensure accurate debtor transfers to SAP.

Perform market research and marketing:


Continuously gather and update market intelligence on national and international players in the Construction and Forestry industry. Expand and diversify market share for Construction and Forestry equipment. Advise management on strategies for geographical expansion of equipment sales. Act as a Construction and Forestry specialist, ensuring high levels of customer care and promoting sales through various channels.

Ensure high level of customer service:


Handle customer queries related to quality and quantity. Manage profile systems to achieve set goals. Establish and improve the Customer Service Index (CSI). Follow up on customer and dealer feedback at risk. Liaise with clients and conduct client visits. Conduct follow-up calls based on salesman's feedback reports. Organise information days and product launches for customers.

Manage operational business processes:


Oversee all operational business processes to ensure sustainability and profitability. Manage the entire sales process. Manage and verify branch inventory through stock taking. Provide status reports and management data.

Market establishment and growth:


Identify and establish a customer base for Construction and Forestry equipment. Develop and test a business model for expansion. Develop and position the Construction and Forestry brand. Develop and manage the capital plan. Assist in identifying strategic partners. Establish sustainable relationships and service level agreements with suppliers. Create and manage staffing structures aligned with branch operations. Ensure sustainable availability of quality products. Optimise service delivery to customers in product distribution. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements.


National senior certificate but candidates with a management qualification will receive preference. At least 5-8 years sales and marketing experience within a construction and/or minining environment. Candidates with experience in construction and forestry related equipment will receive preference. Candidates with management experience will receive preference.

Skills/ Competencies:


Ability to effectively negotiate terms, contracts, and agreements to achieve favorable outcomes for all parties involved. Prioritising tasks, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple projects efficiently. Proficient in both verbal and written communication, ensuring clear, concise, and effective exchanges of information with all stakeholders. Strong capability to create detailed plans and strategies, organising resources and tasks to optimise productivity and outcomes. Excellent at building and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners, fostering teamwork and collaboration. Experience in overseeing day-to-day operations, optimising processes, and ensuring smooth, efficient workflows to meet organisational goals.
