Job Description


To plan and implement the administration and control of incentive bonus schemes, investigates and reports on new productivity techniques, and the undertaking of work study related investigations.
Key Responsibility Areas

  • Controlling the administration of incentives bonus schemes and reports on new productivity
measuring techniques.
  • Researching and development of productivity improvement schemes applicable to municipal
work.
  • Examining and reporting upon productivity systems in use in the various departments of the
Electricity Unit and other designated areas.
  • Responsible for the introduction and extension of labour control systems, productivity schemes and investigations relating to the optimum use of resources.
  • Examining and reporting upon the organisational structure of departments.
  • Instruction of work study staff in the theory and practice of work study and ensuring that the
rating capability of staff is uniform and that the rest allowances are correctly assessed.
  • Responsible for the control of the computerised standards data base and the custody and
safekeeping of documentation relating to work study standards.
  • Carrying out and reviewing feasibility studies for clients to establish costs, estimated duration and anticipated benefits.
  • Developing and presenting work study appreciation and training courses for all employees and other clients as necessary.
  • Responsible for the management and control of inspectorate staff.

Essential Requirements
  • Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Valid motor vehicle driving license.
  • 4 years relevant experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution industry.
  • Computer Literacy.
Preferred Requirements
  • Degree (NQF Level 7) in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 Years relevant experience.
