Job SummaryThe incumbent is responsible for the development and implementation of SATI's Market Development, Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Strategy by developing and executing programmes across all mediums that effectively convey SATI's strategy to table grape growers, external stakeholders and employees to position SA as a preferred supplier to global markets.The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing and coordinating market development projects
• Marketing and trade initiatives (coordinating and liaising with a broad range of initiatives, including trade shows/fares, congresses and exhibitions)
• International generic market development for SATI members
• Leading the development and implementation of a commercialisation strategy for SATI's communications platforms
• Planning, coordinating and hosting events, functions and public relations initiatives
• Client relationship management and stakeholder engagements (including all relevant government departments, SATI entities and affiliates, commercial role players, media, markets, etc.)
• Planning and executing the delivery of strategic SATI events, including the AGM and annual industry stakeholder roadshow
• Developing, implementing and maintaining the media and communication strategy for the table grape industry
• Managing the overall communication function including newsletters, digital marketing and social media, pamphlets, annual reports, promotion & marketing material, etc.
• Brand management and visibility
• Budget management and reporting

Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification
• More than 5 years' experience in market development, strategic branding and media communications
• Previous experience in providing direction to CEO / Senior Management on media issues, reputation management, social responsibility and sustainability compliance
• Willingness and ability to travel locally and internationally on a regular basis
• Proven project and events management experience
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Above average writing skills
• Bilingual with professional command of both English & Afrikaans
• Knowledge of the table grape industry will be considered advantageous
