The preferred candidate must have 10 - 15 years' experience in the open cast mining environment.QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.Degree (Business Related)
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • 10 - 15 years' experience in open cast mining
  • 3 years at tactical management level
  • Mine planning exposure (related to equipment)
  • Engineering Maintenance Strategies
  • Established (and proven) network in the Mining Industry
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • MS Excel (Advanced)

  • MS Power Point (Advanced)

JOB ROLE:
  • Developing strategies in the mining market to achieve sales objectives
  • Manages and develops the sales team in delivering revenue, profit and unit volumes
  • Participating in Special projects for promotions in Sales/Marketing
  • Conducts Sales Planning
  • Monitors the standards of technical documentation in tenders
  • Monitors administrative sales functions
  • Plans and envisions plans to improve market share
  • Plans & anticipates the sales margins, profitability targets, resources and budget
  • Identifies new customers through networks, liaison with leadership and sales team
  • Establishes sales territories, quotas and targets for Sales Representatives
  • Establishes & maintains sound working relations & communications with key customers
  • Monitoring & review the sales administration activities
  • Compiles a monthly management report on sales activities, market trends, provides feedback with recommendations on sales and systems improvement, market penetration and market share
  • Analyses competitor activities, sales and developments on units in the market and recommends tactics to improve sales targets
  • Assesses the impact of risk mitigating plans and preventative action strategies and recommends alternatives to leadership
  • Plans and prepares for the annual budgeting process in accordance with the relevant financial policies and procedures
  • Approves payments for the procurement of goods and services as per approved operating budget and within procurement policy
