Senior Client Manager: Surety

Do you have a comprehensive knowledge on bonds, Political Risk and Structured Credit markets? Do you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills? We are hiring!

Aon South Africa is hiring a Senior Client Manager in Surety for our Risk Solutions department, located at our Head Office in Sandton based on a hybrid basis.

The role of the Senior Client Manager is to build and improve day to day client relationships in relation to surety, handle the surety portfolio, develop new business and provide technical expertise to clients, employees and colleagues within Aon.

What the day will look like

Responsible for leading, developing and improving the day-to-day client relationship and the managing of the surety department.

Work collaboratively across the organization to promote surety and develop surety needs.

Assist clients with identifying and providing for their bond needs, working directly with the client, Account Executive and Insurers in handling the execution of all bonds, structured credit and political risk.

Responsible for servicing and establishing all client and insurer relationships.

Develop the surety department, creating own systems and growing the portfolio will be a key requirement.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Assists client queries with existing bonds and new bond applications.
  • Client meetings in order to source solutions for client needs:
  • Interacts with clients, and internal departments in establishing bond needs and viability of bonds, including advice on wording, proposal forms, liaising with the market in order to acquire quotes and final quote advice, and placing of the business.
  • Presentation of Aon capabilities and final quote options are requirements.
  • Prepares all documentation and billing control over all of the surety products.
  • Responsible for maintaining and improving client satisfaction, retention, revenue and profitability.
  • Responsible for compliant dealings with clients
  • Contributes into the development of new business with either existing or new clients.
  • Co-ordinates teams of Client Service Advisors (where applicable) to ensure client service standards are met.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Qualifications.
  • A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
  • A Bachelors degree is preferable.
  • Must be registered as a representative with the FSCA in terms of the FAIS Act.
  • Must be registered as an associate with the IISA.
Knowledge.
  • Excellent knowledge of all wordings
  • An extensive knowledge on bonds, Political Risk and Structured Credit. markets
  • An in-depth strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals
  • Computer literacy with advanced know-how in MS Word and Excel.
Skills and Attributes.
  • Skill and confidence to articulate Aons proposition and how it differentiates Aon and benefit clients.
  • Advanced analytical, technical and problem-solving skills and abilities.
  • Well- Developed communication skills.
  • Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in and with teams.
  • Ability to run and develop a department.
Experience.
  • Have a minimum of 5 - 10 years experience in a similar or related role.
