My client is a leading, JSE-listed global freight and logistics company seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to join their executive team.This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled leader to drive strategic growth and operational excellence in a fast-paced, global environment.Key Responsibilities:- Lead the overall strategy and operations of the company, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term growth goals.
- Report directly to the CEO and Board members, providing insightful and strategic guidance on company performance, financials, and market trends.
- Oversee the management team and ensure the efficient running of all operational and financial aspects of the business.
- Drive profitability through the development of effective business strategies, ensuring the delivery of quality services and customer satisfaction.
- Manage key client relationships, business development initiatives, and market expansion efforts.
- Ensure adherence to governance, risk management, and compliance standards across all regions.
- Provide leadership in the development and implementation of innovative solutions to improve business processes and operational efficiency.Requirements:- Qualifications: CA(SA) and MBA
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of commercial exposure, with at least 7 years in an executive management role (EXCO).
- Proven track record of leadership and success in managing large teams and driving business results in a global environment.
- Extensive experience in the freight and logistics industry, with strong knowledge of operational, financial, and strategic management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
