Job Description


Duties & Requirements:

  • An Electrical Engineering Degree combined with a Business Degree, is essential to qualify for this opportunity.
  • Manage key personnel, and ensure effective succession planning.
  • Ensure that the quality of product and service offerings to customers are continuously at high levels.
  • Design and implement retention strategies for both talent and customers.
  • Ensure that all aspects human resources are adequate and promote staff wellness, and adherence to legislation with the required policies and procedures being put in place.
  • Foster and create a diverse and positive working environment.
  • Preparation of annual reports and attending/presenting at Board meetings.
  • Lead and manage the technical production teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies and plans that align with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams and departments to integrate electrical engineering and innovative solutions into broader company initiatives.
  • Give strategic advice and report on results and findings to the Chairman and Board members.
  • Understand, assess and improve on corporate governance in the business and improve and implement King Code IV best practices into the business.
  • Keep all relevant stakeholders informed of developments in line with the companyxe2x80x99s objectives.
  • Ensure that employees move in the same strategic direction to achieve their mission.
  • Create and report on business plans, monitoring its efficacy and progress.
  • Remain close to all stakeholders including the Chairman and Board members, staff, clients, key-decision makers and external service suppliers.
  • Research and implement new initiatives to drive revenue, to lower operating costs while maintaining quality products that are competitive, all while delivering excellent customer support.
  • Continuous monitoring of the annual budget and ensure that revenue and profitability targets are met.
  • Manage and report on the effective implementation of a marketing strategy to maintain market relevance and promote products and services to increase revenue and revenue streams.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of modern engineering practices and technologies.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing a company.
  • Experience in the management and leadership of staff at all levels and the effective deployment of available resources.
  • A high level of business awareness and acumen.
  • Understanding the intricacies of financial management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong crisis management and conflict mediation skills.
  • MBA Degree or similar business qualification advantageous.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 10 years in a similar leadership role.
