We have a remarkable, fully remote opportunity for a Managing Editor at an award-winning, established Content agency based in the UK. While fully remote, the successful Managing Editor will need to be based in South Africa.We're looking for a talented and high calibre candidate to work on the agency's UK clients within the financial services sector.Working closely with the project team, the Managing Editor is responsible for delivering digital and print programmes and for overseeing the delivery of high quality, timely content for (Daily Weekly Monthly and Quarterly (DWM) email programmes.In collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief, the Managing Editor also ensures content across the entire project portfolio is first-rate and timely. The successful candidate will lead the editorial staff and freelancers producing technical content, as well as those subediting content across the portfolio.If you are a purveyor of perfect prose with meticulous attention to detail, this role was made for you.   • Develop and produce editorial content via the digital and print programmes
  • Oversee the timely production of daily high-quality editorial digital content via the DWM (Daily Weekly Monthly and Quarterly (DWM) email programmes
  • Uphold editorial standards and house style across the account.
  • Subs and proofreads where necessary
  • Manage a team of in-house production staff and sub-editors, and a network of freelancers to produce print and digital content
  • Support the Editor, in running daily content meetings and taking decisions on the organisation/prioritisation of content before submitting to the Editor
  • Stay up to date with the platforms, production techniques and technologies required to complete the role
  • Support the team with additional projects that require their expertise
RequirementsThe successful candidate must have/be:
  • Industry relevant qualification
  • 8+ years' experience
  • A working knowledge of the accountancy and surveying professions - advantageous
  • Deep experience developing and publishing editorial content in print and digitally
  • Proven ability to lead multiple multi-channel editorial projects, ensuring objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
