  • Grade 12/Matric/NQF level 4
  • English & Afrikaans, 3rd language an advantage
  • Ability to work overtime and night shift
  • Good with numbers/math

About:
  • Following instructions from the relevant Production Supervisors.
  • Delegating workloads to General Worker / Operator.
  • Ensure SOPs and work instructions are adhered to.
  • Ensure loading & offloading of raw materials & finished goods from delivery truck where applicable.
  • Cleaning of workplace, production lines and any tools / equipment, as per schedules.
  • Completing of applicable production, cleaning, and traceability records, Food Safety (HACCP) records, e.g., Metal Detection, sieve inspection net weight control, etc.
  • Responsible to supply packaging material and consumables for lines and support with reel changes if applicable (Includes cartons, liners, ink cartridges etc.).
  • Responsible for all material / production samples required by the lab.
  • Clearing of all rework and waste bags from the production areas.
  • Ensure correct storage and handling of all food products, e.g., FIFO.
  • Relieving of staff during breaktimes.
  • Assist with disciplinaries of staff.
  • Ensure all resources available for on time start-up of shift as well as before and after break times.
  • Ensure rework processed as per work instructions (FIFO and shelf-life management).
  • Locker inspections in accordance with GMP requirements.
  • On the job process verifications monitoring staff following correct procedures and completing paperwork correctly.
  • On the job training with staff for all production related functions
  • Adhering to health & safety, all food safety procedures, requirements, and company policies, OHS Act and FSSC 22000.
  • Adhering to GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), personal hygiene and housekeeping procedures.
  • It is the responsibility of all staff members to report any non-conformance or event that could potentially have an impact on safety to a supervisor or manager.
  • Participate in external and in-house training.
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned from the company when the need so arises.
