Marketing Assistant - Cape TownFull job descriptionOur Marketing department is in search of a Marketing Assistant for the Cape Union Mart brand to join our dynamic Team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Senior Marketing Coordinator and Marketing Coordinator on campaigns, projects, initiatives, activities and tasks. Role Responsibilities Monthly processing, tracking, and reporting of all invoices to Finance for the Outdoor teamMonthly budget trackingResearch: weekly reporting on competitor activities and trends instore and onlineDevelop a process of stock take which manages the movement of stock within the department for production, events and activitiesAssist the team with shoot production requirements including sample management, scheduling of meetings, production briefs and shoot attendance when required.Ensure the marketing calendar and campaign timelines are outlined and up to date for all stakeholdersManage critical timelines of campaigns by liaising with partners and key internal stakeholders as required.Compile and brief PR on content requirements as outlined for the brand.Support PR as and when required on product requests, assistance at events and with planning of events.Oversee the promotion process per brand and ensure the team is up to date with requirements including key trade such as sale, Black Friday and other trading periods.Responsible for keeping the brand status document up to date weekly with projects that are on the go and upcoming.Responsible for instore POS and TV screen content update for the brand.Stock management through ensuring departmental stock is returned to store timeously post shoot / event.Mall marketing relations:Build relationships with the various marketing departments within shopping centresShare promotional activity and seasonal content with shopping centresDrive brand visibility through-our shopping centresIdentify opportunities within shopping centres for tactical activityDrive campaign specific communication through centre channelsSetting up and facilitating key meetingsOversee and facilitate instore musicREQUIREMENTS:A relevant tertiary qualification (diploma or degree) in Marketing (completed studies)Minimum of 1 - 2 years experience in the Retail IndustryComputer literacy (Intermediate MS Excel, Power point, and Word) CANVA advantageousDrivers license and own car required.Strong organisational and administrative skillsService and customer orientated.Interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-taskWork well within a fast-paced environmentOrganisational and administrative skills is a mustComfortable working with numbers, metrics and spreadsheets is a mustEffective verbal and written communicationComfortable working across teams and departments.Service and customer orientatedNegotiation and problem solving skillsAbility to work under pressure and meet deadlinesProactive approach to work environmentWorks well under pressure and has the ability to multi-taskAttention to detail.Not afraid of getting your hands dirty BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES:Flair for innovative thinkingProactive and assertiveRelationship builderTeam PlayerPassionateAttention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and independently.Deadline and process driven
