We have an exciting in-office job opportunity for a driven, junior Marketing Assistant at a leading manufacturer in the dxc3xa9cor hardware sector based in Cape Town's Northern Suburbs.In this super role you will be responsible for assisting and supporting the marketing department across corporate identity, advertising, colour marketing material, marketing at retail, printed collateral, digital, packaging, events, sponsorships, images and other marketing collateral that may be required.The Marketing Assistant will develop good working relationships with internal departments, the company's Sales Team, and their various suppliers.If you are a passionate, young Marketer with some (advantageous) previous dxc3xa9cor experience, we'd love to chat. Apply today!ResponsibilitiesInclude but are not limited to:

• Be available as a resource to the Marketing Manager and Brand Managers who need assistance with completing projects
• Ensure the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals
• Provide administrative support to the marketing team
• General office duties such as stationery supplies, preparing boardrooms and catering for meetings
• Preparing, formatting, and editing presentations and documents
• Management of external suppliers and agencies who produce marketing materials or provide marketing support - from sourcing new suppliers and briefing to production, delivery, and quality control
• Following up with agencies and suppliers
• Produce internal communications
• Management and storage of packaging and point of sale samples
• Assist in the organising and production of marketing and promotional materials to facilitate their success
• Arranging deliveries and collections
• Ensuring brand uniformity and consistency
• Budget and cost management
• Market research and store visits
• Maintaining a strong working relationship with our Sales Team - input, buy in, marketing instructions, sales tools
• Working with internal departments for input, buy in etc. Including technical team, factory, warehouse, finance, buying
• Liaising with stockists when necessary
• Identifying new marketing opportunities.

RequirementsThe successful candidate must have/be:

• 3-year Marketing qualification (University Degree or Diploma through reputable tertiary institutions such as Vega School, IMM Graduate School, AAA School of Advertising, Red and Yellow Creative School of Business)
• At least 1 year experience in Marketing - Essential
• Computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, E-Mail, Cloud
• Previous experience in dxc3xa9cor - advantageous
• A hardworking, dedicated and honest individual with initiative and enthusiasm
• Exceptional project management skills - ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
• Ability to work independently as well as take instruction and leadership
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail
• Hands on approach
• Willingness to learn
• Team player who enjoys working with people and good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to travel occasionally when required for projects (predominantly to JHB - normally 1-day visits)
• The retail environment is complex and inconsistent, therefore require strategic, creative, and practical skills for the creation and implementation of projects.
• Due to the complexity of the business, someone who has a long-term goal to stay in one company. Much time and effort is invested in training - it takes a minimum of 6 months to train a person, and almost a year before they start adding real value.
