As we continue to expand and enhance our brand, we are looking for a proactive and dynamic Marketing Coordinator to join our team.The Marketing Coordinator will play a crucial role in executing ikeja's marketing strategies, enhancing brand consistency, and coordinating various marketing activities. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working across different marketing channels and managing relationships with suppliers, agencies, and freelancers. The Marketing Coordinator will work under the directive of the Marketing Manager, focusing on strategy execution and brand enhancement.We are looking for individuals who are self-directed, detail-oriented, personable, and comfortable being visible and present on the ground within the areas you represent.   • Implement and execute comprehensive marketing strategies across various channels, including Digital, Advertising, Communications, and Creative, in alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Report on marketing activities executed and liaise with accounts to obtain approval on costs. Implement cost-reduction measures through quote comparison for ikeja's collateral materials.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with key suppliers for marketing collateral.
  • Occasionally travel from Johannesburg to Cape Town to oversee national activities managed by ikeja.
Brand Enhancement + Consistency
  • Learn and understand ikejaxe2x80x99s current brand. Contribute to branding, positioning, and pricing strategies that enhance our market presence and competitiveness.
  • Ensure that the company's brand message remains strong, consistent, and cohesive across all marketing channels, including events, email campaigns, web pages, and promotional materials. Agency and Freelancer Liaison:
  • Serve as the primary contact for external freelance designers, coordinating design aspects and project execution.
  • Collaborate with freelance designers to ensure their work aligns with our brand guidelines and marketing objectives.
  • Adhere to project timelines, deliverables, and budgets for freelance design projects.
  • Maintain open communication with external freelancers to foster productive working relationships.
  • Facilitate project briefs and creative direction to freelancers to achieve high-quality design work.
  • Ensure all design-related projects are executed on time and within budget.
  • Handle contracts, invoices, and payments for freelance design work in accordance with company policies.
Brand Activations, Field Marketing, and Team Management
  • Identify suitable locations, such as malls and local businesses, for brand activations and field marketing initiatives.
  • Lead the organization of all field marketing activities, ensuring seamless execution and coordination, including the development and management of associated collateral and materials.
  • Play a crucial role in building and a high-performing marketing and sales team in the ikeja region, including recruitment, training, and development of marketing and sales resources to support regional expansion and growth efforts.
Sales and Marketing Coordination
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to align efforts and enhance brand awareness, ensuring a seamless customer journey from lead generation to conversion.
Internal Marketing (Reporting to ikeja's People Department)
  • Coordinate internal marketing initiatives aimed at engaging and informing ikeja's employees.
  • Manage the selection of suitable locations for internal marketing activities.
  • Oversee the development and management of internal marketing collateral.
  • Coordinate internal events, including year-end functions, holiday celebrations, and others as determined by the People Department, to enhance employee morale and company culture.
  • Administer design-related tasks as required for internal marketing materials.
Competition Monitoring (South African ISP Space)xe2x97x8f Assist the Marketing Manager with: * Tracking and analyze competitors in the South African ISP industry.
  • Monitoring acquisitions, pricing changes, and new product offerings by competitors.
  • Assessing competitor positioning, consumer sentiment, and market trends.
  • Providing actionable recommendations to maintain our competitive edge.
  • Preparing regular reports and presentations for management.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a marketing role, preferably within the telecommunications or technology sector.
  • A portfolio of evidence showcasing successful social media campaigns and community management.
  • Experience with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) for creating and editing visual content.
  • Previous work experience within or a proven understanding of the landscape of ikejaxe2x80x99s market is advantageous.
