Job Description


Marketing Manager (Agri).
Responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to elevate the brand positioning, drive awareness and consideration of products and services, and support tactical sales objectives through omnichannel marketing platforms. The Marketing Manager will also play a crucial role in enhancing dealer marketing effectiveness and fostering customer engagement.Key areas of responsibility:

  • Researching regional market trends and the competitive environment.
  • Developing and executing marketing communication plan and budget for supporting tactical and sales initiatives for achieving business line objectives
  • Developing and implementing the annual marketing communications editorial calendar, content, and storyline through all communication channels and materials for establishing coherent internal and external messaging and brand equity.
  • Identify customer segments and define key targets and quality metrics for marketing communications initiatives and reviewing and evaluating results upon completion of the activities.
  • Creating and maintaining the communications materials including, but not limited to internal articles, success stories, press releases, photos, videos, brand and product brochures, and collaterals.
  • Building strong and long-term relationships with dealer channel, influencers, media, and organised agricultural networks within the region.
  • Ensuring sound communication across multiple and appropriate media and marketing platforms in line with the overall communication strategy for extending brand and product visibility.
  • Developing and executing PR events such as press conferences, product launches, interviews and participation in shows/exhibitions as well as customer field days.
  • Developing and maintaining omnichannel content and media strategy in a consistent and qualitative way or ensuring maximum sales support and traction.
  • Keeping up with new marketing and communication trends and offering innovative communication approaches, monitor competitors media activity.
  • Ensuring regular updates of corporate websites and supervise company social media accounts.
  • Supporting dealers network compliance with marketing policy, dealers standards, and the brand book.
  • Researching, identifying, and selecting external marketing communications service providers and defining quality and delivery targets.
  • Compiling and submitting of weekly and monthly reports on activity progress, revenue, profit and KPIs.
  • Understanding trends in the agricultural industry and farming practices to identify key initiatives to effectively position products and services across a diverse customer segment.
Knowledge and skills needed for the job:Minimum Required Education
  • Bachelors or Honors Degree in Marketing, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Business Administration with focus on Marketing or a related field is required.
Advantageous
  • Exposure to agricultural trends, crops, livestock, and farming practices.
  • Understanding precision farming practices and how it impacts product marketing.
  • Track record of market research and analytics.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms.
  • Graphic design skills or qualifications.
Related experience
  • 810 years of experience in the marketing and agricultural field.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Prior marketing experience in agriculture, agricultural equipment, and precision agriculture is beneficial.
  • Ability to report at a leadership level and contribute to discussions on broader business activities and strategies beyond marketing activities.
  • Ability to report to international marketing leaders and collaborate on initiatives with global teams.
  • Proven experience in developing integrated marketing strategies and developing both above-the-line and below-the-line marketing initiatives.
  • Experience in brand development and creating innovative strategies to drive brand awareness and consideration (e.g., influencer marketing, brand ambassadors, brand building activities, product positioning).
  • Extensive experience in collaborating with media and other related marketing collaborators to enhance market presence and engagement.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing omnichannel marketing strategies, including print media, advertorials, social media, Google Ads and content marketing.
  • Proven expertise in event management, including shows, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Understanding seasonal fluctuations and customers purchasing behaviour and how it affects product demand and marketing efforts.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media analytics) for campaign tracking and optimization.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Ability to manage multiple marketing projects and campaigns and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, is an advantage.
Basic Salary R56,000 per month with benefits (Medical Aid and Pension) + Guaranteed 13th cheque
