THE POSITION/JOB:

Interaction with Technicians and Engineers from Eskom and local supply authority
Testing and correcting all distribution related protection settings
Ensure that preventative and condition based monitoring is done regularly and corrective actions are taken
Perform/ensure that all work done is in compliance with the company standards, procedures, regulations, safety and quality requirements
Assist in the installation and maintenance of Electrical Distribution equipment like cables, switchgear and transformers.
Provide guidance and advice on electrical standards
Issue COCxe2x80x99s on new and existing equipment

THE PERSON MUST:

Be in possession of a National Diploma in Electrical Heavy Current and a Management qualification
Have a trade with COC
Be able to cope with high levels of stress
Provide technical support to direct team as well as support to manufacturing plant areas and related facilities in the plant
Be a strong team player and have excellent communication skills
Be able to pay attention to detail
Be physically fit and not afraid of confined spaces and heights
Be willing to work overtime and do standby
