A leading multi-disciplinary and consultancy firm is seeking Materials Technicians to join their team in Johannesburg, with project work across various sites.They are hiring for two levels of expertise:

• Senior Materials Technicians - Minimum 5 years' experience

Materials Technicians - Minimum 2 years' experienceAs a Materials Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that materials used in infrastructure projects meet quality standards and compliance requirements. You'll oversee procurement, inventory management, testing, and quality control processes while contributing to the planning and implementation of projects involving roads, stormwater, and sewer reticulation systems.Key Responsibilities:Material Procurement & Inventory Management: Source and manage materials, ensuring quality and compliance with project specifications.Material Testing & Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed testing of construction materials (soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt) to ensure adherence to industry standards and project requirements.Site Supervision & Monitoring: Supervise site activities related to materials, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.Project Implementation & Control: Plan, monitor, and control material use during project implementation to avoid delays and ensure optimal efficiency.Contract Management & Compliance: Manage contracts related to materials procurement and ensure compliance with frameworks such as FIDIC, , JBCC, and NEC3.Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze test results, identify potential risks, and compile accurate technical reports for project stakeholders.Cost & Financial Management: Monitor material costs to ensure budget alignment and identify opportunities for cost optimization.Client Interface & Stakeholder Communication: Engage with clients and project teams to provide technical input and ensure seamless execution.Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure that all material handling and site activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations.Minimum Requirements:
