:An exciting opportunity has become available in our Maintenance department for a Sewing machine Mechanic.Responsibilities:
Repair and maintain a range of industrial sewing machines allied sewing equipment
Set up and test run a range of industrial sewing machines allied sewing equipment
Keep maintenance records and update maintenance reports
Conduct running maintenance
Assist and coach learner mechanics
Maintain and collect technical data for machinery and equipment
Adhere and manage preventative maintenance program on minor and major tasks
Folder repair
Assist with other tasks within the maintenance department
Requirements:
+/- 3-4 years' experience in Industrial Sewing machine maintenance in clothing production environment
NQF4 Qualification in repairs and maintenance sewing machine or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
Have the ability to work in a team and additional hours as requested
Must be able to work in a pressurized environment
Must be able to read and write in English
Must have a target driven and quick turnaround approach
