Mechanic
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on marine engines, systems, and equipment- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and develop effective solutions- Conduct regular inspections and ensure all equipment is in proper working condition- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed- Communicate effectively with other crew members and superiors regarding any mechanical issues or concerns- Maintain a clean and organized work area- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times- Assist with emergency repairs and maintenance as neededQualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Mechanic in the marine industry- Strong knowledge of marine engines, systems, and equipment- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency repairs- Valid driver's license and clean driving record- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
