Job Description

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in mechanical design engineering within a plant environment. This role demands strong technical skills, practical experience in plant operations, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance plant performance and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop mechanical systems and components for plant operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct detailed engineering analysis and calculations to support design decisions.
• Create and review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and other engineering teams to implement design improvements and resolve operational issues.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting to address mechanical failures and optimise system performance.
• Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
• Provide technical support and training to plant personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design engineering within a Plant or Manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
