Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a professionally registered Mechanical Engineer with experience designing and managing projects in the built environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on various projects, including hospitals, clinics, commercial buildings, offices, and more.Qualifications & Experience: xe2x9cx94 B.Eng, BSc, or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
xe2x9cx94 ECSA professional registration (PrEng/PrTech)
xe2x9cx94 Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in hospitals, clinics, commercial buildings, offices, workshops, and stores
xe2x9cx94 Experience with large-scale projects covering various mechanical systems
xe2x9cx94 Expertise in construction administration and managementKey Responsibilities: ? Design & Project Management:
- Lead and execute mechanical building services designs for diverse projects
- Ensure compliance with National Building Regulations, OSHA standards, and health facility requirements
- Work on HVAC & R, Vertical Transportation, Fire Protection, Medical Gas, and related systems
- Manage project staff, finances, and resources effectively
- Liaise with clients to build strong relationships and understand their needs
- Market and network to secure repeat business
- Oversee project budgeting, proposals, and reporting
- Prepare project documents for successful execution and timely completion
- Apply scientific methods to solve engineering problems
xe2x9cx94 Knowledge of construction contracts (GCC, FIDIC, NEC, PROCSA)
xe2x9cx94 Critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
xe2x9cx94 Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects independently
xe2x9cx94 Proficiency in (beneficial)
