Position Responsibilities Lead the mechanical team and provide guidance Must be able to work autonomously Mentor the younger engineers Take ownership of the mechanical team Communicate with senior management regarding progress Take initiative and identify areas where we as a mechanical team can improve Lead by example.
Position Requirements: Between 5 - 10 years' experience. Must be close to registration or already Pr Eng/Tech If not registered, will have to register within 12 months Must be technically strong, understand first principle calculations, execute designs and have attention to detail. Understand BOQs and how to populate BOQs Can be a specialist in some areas but it's essential to understand and apply broad knowledge across the Mechanical engineering spectrum. Must be able to do a project schedule, understand the interconnectivity of the various activities and maintain the schedule. Understand and execute the various stages of a project, typically the 6 stages of ECSA. Must be able to prepare and check proper quality drawings. Must be able to communicate in a technical manner to the team and to the client. Write technical specifications, design criteria and scope of works. Must know and understand the applicable South African Standards (SANS) Must have experience in some or all of the following: HVAC systems - essential.WarehousingPharmaceuticalCommercial/IndustrialData centresHospitalsOffice buildingsBuilding services.Medical gas designs.Software Must be proficient in REVIT MEP, AUTOCAD MEP, LOADIST
