Job Summary Hire Resolve's client in the mining industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a Mechanical GES in the North West.Responsibilities

• Drafting of Recommendations and Proposals to Section Engineer
• Monitor and integrate changes throughout the project cycle
• Assist the client in achieving operational readiness
• Ensure that project scope is engineered to the correct standards, specifications, and requirements
• Ensure that the project scope is executed in accordance with the correct engineering practices
• Assist Senior Project Engineer in ensuring that the project is successfully implemented
• Manage engineering changes to a minimum
• Accountable for following maintenance plans and schedules and ensuring that staff under his/her direction perform daily and weekly activities to meet production goals
• Translating general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for the staff
• Periodically reassess daily goals to meet forecasted production
• Completion of the appropriate and relevant logbooks
• Ensure the proper filing of all test certificates or logbooks
• Regular testing of equipment and tools
• Communication and arrangement with appropriate responsible people prior to inspection and or maintenance of equipment
• Inspection of all the equipment according to mine standards
• Inspecting PPE before use
• Ensure that all legal and safety requirements are adhered to in movement operations
• Obtain relevant safety and work permits prior to executing activities
• Isolation procedures to be followed
• Complete safety, injury, hazard, risk, and incident reports for area
• Ensure that the prescribed safety equipment is always worn
• Identify opportunities to improve operations
• Actively participate in improvement projects
• Support efforts to overcome operational problems

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Mechanical Trade Test Certificate
• N3 Certificate or higher
• 5 - 8 years of mining experience within a plant environment

Benefits

• Salary: R1.35mil/yr - R1.5mil/yr, negotiable
