Job Description
As a Mechanical Project Engineer (Structures), you will play a key role in designing, overseeing, and managing structural aspects of mining plant projects. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful execution of mechanical and structural engineering solutions.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design and implementation of mechanical plant components
- Oversee engineering projects from feasibility to execution
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including contractors and internal teams
- Conduct structural integrity assessments and propose solutions
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and risk assessments
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for plant infrastructure
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Experience in structural engineering within mining or heavy industry
- Strong understanding of materials, fabrication, and mechanical systems
- Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Knowledge of mining plant operations and maintenance
- Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
