Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Sales Engineer to join a highly respected company within the engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the tendering process for winders, upgrades, spares, and labor. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, ensuring that all technical and commercial aspects are met with precision and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Services Department, Drawing Office, and co-workers to ensure seamless tendering processes.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers.
• Collate costing sheets using Excel, ensuring all costs are accurately documented.
• Ensure all commercial conditions are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
• Read and interpret technical drawings with a high level of accuracy.
• Engage in customer liaison, maintaining strong and professional relationships.
• Conduct handover meetings with the Services Department, Major Projects, and Project Managers.
• Open new jobs on the register and server, ensuring all files are named and organized according to IT procedures.
• Maintain and update all project folders with relevant information.
• Follow up with clients regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
• Take ownership of responsibilities, thriving in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team, adhering to SHEQ policies and procedures.
• Be proactive and take the initiative to solve problems as they arise.
• Possibility of hybrid working conditions based on office demands.
• Potential for site visits to mines for client meetings (PPE will be supplied).

Qualifications and Experience:

• Mechanical N6 Qualification is required; additional certifications are a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to be trained on in-house accounting software.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of technical and site experience, specifically related to winders.
